Welcome to the new look Bullet Online!

Well first things first let’s welcome back our returning students to the joys of exams, essays, and diving headfirst into that overdraft. Plus many of you, like myself, will have that dreaded dissertation to tackle, oh and not forgetting the beautiful hangovers in those gruelling 9 o’ clock lectures! The boredom over the summer has been taken over by sheer excitement of getting back into the swing of things. I really can’t wait!

Also a big hello to our fresher’s…Welcome to the University of Lincoln! I know when I first started University I got sick of hearing the usual one liners - “have fun but be careful”, “you’ll love it here”, and my favourite “you’ll be fine”. Yeah, you’re not the one that’s miles from home having to do your own cooking, cleaning AND washing! Pffft!
I’ll always remember my mum and dad leaving me in my blank room in the Pavilions and worrying about everything. “What if I don’t like my flatmates?” “Where do I go to enrol?” “Where’s the nearest McDonalds?” but most importantly “What am I going to wear tonight?”
Well we can help you there, check out our brilliant fashion section and you will know what to wear each night and where to find the best deals on Lincoln’s High Street.

We also have a new team this year and we’ve all been working really hard to bring you this issue of Bullet magazine. It is packed with all the news and information from all over the campuses in and around Lincoln. For example, I really want to shout about our guest writer Billy Lunn from The Subways, who has taken time out of his busy tour to give some really good tips and advice to all you aspiring musicians out there.

Finally, I can understand your nerves must be soaring through the roof and there isn’t anything we can do to get rid of them, but I will say this – Don’t forget that there are so many people in the same boat as you. Just relax, have fun and enjoy it.

Stay classy Lincoln University! Kayleigh x
